Tarnów is a city of rich and long history. It boasts a beautiful surrounding, the unique Renaissance Old Town and a large number of historical monuments. The present-day Tarnów is also a centre of southeast Poland subregion, it has been
gaining an academic character and it has been developing dynamically at a faster rate than many other urbanized areas.
An exceptional location that is close to Cracow and the southern border of the country is Tarnów’s greatest asset. It makes Tarnów and the whole region not only an attractive place for rest, but also a major economic centre. For ages Tarnów has been a multicultural city, the city of European character and values in a most positive sense of the term. And it still is. We are ready and willing to cooperate in many different realms and all our guests and tourists are truly very welcome.
We have already started thinking about a prospect which is assigned by the 2012 European Football Cup Finals being organised jointly by both Poland and Ukraine. We wish and we can be a partner for larger cities where matches are to be played.
We are planning to build new sport facilities to reach this goal. Moreover, we wish to prompt activity of young people. One of the action steps which we have already taken is inviting young football players of our partner cities from Hungary, Slovakia, Great Britain, Belgium, Russia and Ukraine to participate in football tournaments which we are going to held in Tarnów from the next year on.
The brochure which we are placing in your hands features a fresh offer directed to companies and businesses that are willing to invest in the development of Tarnów tourist and accommodation service infrastructure. I do hope that all the information included in the brochure proves helpful for making the most favourable decision on your part.
If you wish to admire the world’s best speedway raiders, hit the trail with a Gypsy camp or visit Poland’s hot pole - you are welcome to Tarnów.
